Philippe Dozolme, Founder & General Manager


Philippe Dozolme is the Founder, General Manager and Principal Consultant of Arthur & Matthew.

Mr. Dozolme brings to Arthur & Matthew his 15 years of experience and broad based achievements within the Mining & Metals sector, in different areas such as International Sales, Sales Training, Global Marketing, Business Development, Strategic Business Partnerships and Emerging Markets. His expertise in business strategy, production and process optimization technologies, customer insight, organizational improvement, multicultural management and IP combine to consistently deliver enhanced productivity and increased profitability.

Mr. Dozolme  is  a  regular  contributor  to professional  magazines  such  as  International  Mining  magazine or Skilling Mining Review.  End  of  2010,  Philippe  has been appointed by About.com to serve as Mining Guide. About.com is part of the New York Times Company.

Since 2007, Mr. Dozolme serves as a senior strategist and advisor to the TBTech management, being also in charge of sales and marketing development for South America.

Employment history

Involved in the international mining business (services & products) since 1999, Mr. Dozolme has been working for start-up companies, regional subsidiaries, and listed companies. Reaching various key senior positions in sales, marketing and management, he gains an extensive experience of European, South American and African markets.
In the 90’s, Philippe played an instrumental role in spreading electronic initiation worldwide. He was the first to introduce remote wireless technologies to initiate explosives, which is now acknowledged to be a major contribution to safety and operational standards throughout the industry.
After  founding  and  running  the  Chile-based  LATAM  branch  for  the  leader  in  the  African explosives  market  and  blasting  engineering  services,  he  served  as  its  Head  of  Sales  and Marketing.
Prior, he was working for the governmental sectors, where he participated to major exportation negotiations on behalf of the Armament Procurement Agency of the French Ministry of Defence. His career includes a posting in Turkey for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Since 1999, Mr. Dozolme has given an extended number of presentations, taught seminars and courses, in different countries of Europe, Africa, North America and South America, about the economics, or the legal or safety consequences linked to the introduction of high technology in the mining operations. Since 2015, Philippe Dozolme is collaborating with MINES ParisTech, the École des Mines de Paris, teaching one of the courses of Geosciences & Geoengineering Research Dept. post-diploma program CESAM.

Education

Mr. Dozolme holds a Master's degree in International & European Law. In 1997, he also earned a Master’s  degree  in  Commerce  and  Administration  with  a specialization in Industrial Dynamics from Paris University. Mr. Dozolme is an alumnus of the French Institute of Higher National Defence Studies where he earned a tertiary degree in explosives engineering.

As a PhD Candidate, Mr. Dozolme conducted a five year doctoral research focusing on the legal, political and financial aspects of foreign mining investment in Latin America from 1970 onwards.

Mr. Dozolme is a member of the International Society of Explosives Engineer (ISEE) and of the European Federation of Explosives Engineers (EFEE).
He and his wife Marie have one child, and reside in Nice, France.
